Regardless of genre and format, it is easy to recognise that the sound quality is excellent.
Additionally, the sound is both comfortable and relaxing – much like the Aavik amplifiers from the same manufacturer.
There is a clear common theme in their approach to music reproduction and what it delivers is actually very likable.
It is not entirely surprising but it is still nice to have it confirmed.
Such control of the bass, while also being light-footed, open and relaxed in the midrange and treble.
Even the opening to Saint-Saëns’ Violin Concer-to no. 1 in A major struck me in a way that led to an extensive bout.
It’s lovely when this happens and proves that we shouldn’t mess with the subconscious.
It is completely honest and sends clear and wild signals to the body that there is something special going on.
On Anette Askvik and her Liberty, the space is huge and impressive, while the position and focus on instruments are also very good.
But it’s when Wettre comes in on his saxophone that it takes off completely.
The tone is natural, warm and inviting and extremely natural and relaxed.
The sound of the instruments is rich and provides a very enjoyable brass experience.
On music with slightly harder edges and heavy guitars, it plays really well, the guitars have strength, a solid base and just the right string thickness.
It is dynamic, pushy and heavy when it should be but the sound never gets tiresome or too sharp for the ears.
Excellent control and high precision in reproduction, as well as rhythmic propulsion and dynamics
that lead to a vibrant sound and immersive listening experience.

Grand piano sounded beautifully full-bodied woody, clear without thickening up and completely free of unwelcome artifacts.
The Forté1 lets the music flow and caresses the listener despite all its accuracy.
This is an ability that one cannot really expect from such a low-priced component.
Does the music touch me emotionally? I can happily say yes to that.
The Forté1’s accuracy takes nothing whatsoever away from the instruments’ colourfulness and sonority.
Accuracy and tonal splendor find a thrilling synthesis in the Forté1, and particularly so in « classical » music.
I have rarely enjoyed this symphony in such a state of excitement. The dynamics leave nothing to be desired here either.
The Axxess makes it enormously easy to trace individual instruments. Yet it presents a harmonic coherence that confers voices and instruments body and their space.
In view of these sonic capabilities, rock is of course really fun, Nevertheless, this Forté makes its skills more audible with classical music and jazz.
Its musicality is absolutely convincing: far more than I had expected.
I found the pure tonality of classical music and jazz, paired with silky, beautiful timbres, fascinating.
Superb price/performance ratio.

You quickly marvel at the incredibly potent and powerful as well as dynamic pace of the Danish newcomer.
The Axxess will breathe new life into many a speaker
and turn quite a few leisurely sounding speakers into sprinters with esprit and passion.
While we had already spent a few enjoyable hours in various listening setups by now,
combining the amp with the Børresen X3 speakers and Ansuz cables proved to be an absolute hit.
The sonic image was extremely spacious in the dimension of individual sound events
– voices, instruments, size of the stage – with plenty of space, but still crisply defined.
In terms of sound and workmanship, it has no rival to fear.
